My first wedding....
«
on:

Ok, one of my best friends from uni got married at the weekend, and I took the opportunity to practice the old photography a bit.
I have another 3 weddings this year to attend so again hoping to get experience-a-mundo!
C&C welcome. I know I possibly overdo the black and white with bits of colour thing, but I love how it looks.
Bottom photo is of Cheryl the day after puddle jumping!

Thanks, means a lot.
I'm properly really happy with how they turned out. Just wish I had taken more, but I couldn't get in the way of the day happening!

I like them all, although I feel 3 & 5 could do with a flash? They're really nice though.

I think if you had epilepsy you would know it. Most likely low blood pressure.
Thank you Dr Jordy. If only Parryman had seen you instead of wasting valuable NHS time!

How do you do the one colour? Is it just two layer in PS, one black and white and one colour? How do you get the edges so neat though?!

i think the ones of the car and the ribbon stuff looks mint, but that's cos those two colours go well. i don't think the last one works as well personally.

yeah the blue and black ones look really nice, the pink and black is a bit too harsh.

2. Yes. The best one there.
Rare that I (or anyone) would say that about colour-splash. You seem to do it well though!

Mike, I hate to be a dick but I don't think having your own quotes in your sig was ever cool, let alone for two years.

Thanks guys!
I've sent them through to the bride and she was over the moon!
Going to use my Jessops discount code and get them printed into a wee multi photo frame for them coming home from New York
The one of Cheryl is going up in the bedroom

That's exactly how, do the masks in Elements. The edges get so neat by doing the bulk of the colour by the straight edge at maybe 25 pixels, then the edges I go round with the fade on about 9 pixels.
Just uber patience really

Ergh, I have no patience.
Also- A friend of mine tried to be nice and sweet recently, she nicked a couple of photos of mine and took them to jessops to get them printed A4ish size.
They were SHITE! Colours were REALLY dark and one of them had been cropped!!! Really not happy, she did it as a nice gesture but there's no way of saying anything nice about them without lieing, and she realises it too :(

Yeah, all Jessops printers come out soft, dark and cropped at the middling sizes.
