Right, I've got a broken X0 shifter, I think the rachets are gone. Am I right in thinking that I couldn't just stick the inner gubbins from an X9 in the X0 shell? At least that way I've got a working shifter that looks pimp, rather than a broken pimp shifter.

Nah nah nah, the problem is I've got a spare X0 shifter that's lying broken that I'd like to make use of instead of the X7 on the DH bike.
I may just end up sticking it on my singlespeed and see how many people notice.
